A Spy Game for the Sherlock within
Every night your subconscious drops clues.
Secret messages. Cryptic warnings. Weird invitations.
But here’s the kicker – it doesn’t use words.
It speaks in metaphors, symbols, and emotional plot twists.
Your mission (whether you accept it or not):
• Crack the code.
• Uncover the meaning.
• Take the wisdom and run.
Let’s play!
Step 1: Suit Up (aka Connect)
Get quiet. Take a breath.
Strap on your inner spy suit.
You’ve just used your retinal scan to access the ultimate spy lab – very James Bond. Moody lighting. Mysterious files. High-tech gadgets humming all around.
0-100 connection check:
You only get full access with 100% clearance.
Step 2: The Case File
Pick a dream that won’t let go.
Last night’s? Or the one that’s been haunting you for years – think ‘the Joker’ in Batman.
Log the essentials:
• A short description
• Key symbols or scenes
• The main emotion you felt (during or after)
Common symbols:
Flying • Falling • Teeth • Water • Animals • Vehicles • Darkness • Light • Houses • Guides • Chases • Fire • Numbers • Pregnancy • Death • Being late • Being lost
Step 3: The Codebreaker
Choose up to three key symbols.
Not quite hieroglyphics, but close.
Cheat Sheet for rookies: fairs fair, you’re new at this.
Trust your gut instinct – one of these or some alternate interpretation that springs to mind. First hunch = best hunch.
Step 4: Gathering Intelligence
(no rough stuff)
• “How did the dream feel?
Scary? Liberating? Weirdly fun?”
• “Where do I feel this emotion in my waking life right now?”
Hint: the emotion is usually the real clue.
Step 5: Intense Interrogation
(Not quite thumb screws – but close)
Close your eyes. Hand on heart.
• “What’s this dream trying to tell me?”
• “What part of me is ready to breakthrough?”
• “What’s one small step I can take today to change this haunted house into a Disney dream?”
Don’t overthink it.
Whatever comes first is the gold.
Step 6: Debriefing
Fact-finding, three options:
• Access your inner GPS (God, Universe, Intuition)
• Call M at MI6 (head of British Intelligence) for the master key.
• Or get Q – crazy inventor- to whip up a gadget that translates dream codes instantly.
You just got expert advice
What did they say?
Step 7: Action Station
Practice makes… a better spy
• Set a calendar reminder to take a first step
• Send the text, make the call, start ‘the thing’, explore new options
• Change your phone wallpaper to a dream symbol – as a quiet nudge
• Do one brave or slightly out-of-character thing today
• Write a one-line mission report like: “Agent X – fear neutralised. Confidence restored.”
Case Closed
• You’ve cracked the case.
• Promotion secured.
• You’re now officially… (no way I’m telling – you’re undercover).
Your next assignment arrives tonight at 03:00 hours (aka REM sleep).
Sweet dreams, 008
