THE 2 WOLVES
Inspiration
An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life.
The boy came to him upset and confused about all the suffering he saw in the world.
“Grandfather,” he asked,
“What’s going on with all these wars, the hunger, the sickness, the pain…?”
The grandfather replied gently,
“Inside every person, there are two wolves – and they are always at war.”
“One wolf feeds on fear, anger, sorrow, shame, guilt, regret, greed, worry, self-pity, doubt, and negativity.”
“The other wolf feeds on joy, peace, love, kindness, forgiveness, hope, generosity, compassion, truth, and faith.”
The grandson paused.
He thought for a moment and then asked,
“Grandfather… which wolf wins?”
The old man smiled and said,
“The one you feed.”
~ Feed the Good Wolf
Every thought, feeling, and action is a choice.
Example:
When you’re angry or in pain, pause. Don’t give it more fuel – don’t feed the bad wolf.
When you’re happy, kind, grateful, at peace – linger there. Nurture that.
Feed what you want more of.
Each day, discover the name of your Good Wolf, ask how to feed it and do that.
Enjoy the difference!
With love,
