How to Play the Game of Life and Thrive

A few basic hints before you start playing

There are 9 steps.

Applying any one or more of the following will

  • Improve the way you play the games
  • Increase the number of opportunities you attract
  • Power up your goals and life.

STEP 1

Access your best guidance

Set your intention to connect to that which ‘knows all’. 

You may call it…Intuition, God, the Universe, Gut Instinct, Guidance, Higher Self, the Infinite Intelligence, your GPS, Source…or your preferred name for it. 

For the sake of ease, I will use the word GPS from now on.

We are all talking about the same thing, we just call it different names.


STEP 2

Get 100% connected to your GPS.

This ensures your get accuracy, efficacy and all the details you need to land your goal.

This is how you do it.

  1. Look at the numbers 0 to 100.

  2. Close and open your eyes and notice which number they lock on.

  3. That’s your level of connection to your GPS.
    100 = fully connected, on manual, so you need to keep check in regularly.
    100 = fully connected, on autopilot, no further need to check in.

  4. If you’re not registering 100, take some deep, slow breaths into your belly. As you breathe in, belly rise, as you breathe out, belly fall, as if you are inflating and deflating a balloon.

  5. Focus only on the breath. And every so often, check the numbers again.

  6. Keep going with the deep, slow breathing, until your eye registers 100.

  7. You don’t need to count. The breath will take you there. 

  8. If it’s going very slowly or not moving, you may need to drink water as well, until you register 100.
  • If you’re more auditory than visual, your inner voice may give you the number.
  • If you’re more kinaesthetic, you may sense the number.
  • If you’re more audio-digital, you may think the number

There’s no right or wrong way to do this. You will find your own way.


STEP 3

Identify your present top priority goal, around which you would like some clarity, insights, wisdom and/or guidance.

Not sure which is your present, top priority goal?

  • Make a list of your goals.
  • Ask your GPS to place a priority number next to each topic or goal. 

For instance, if there are 5 potential topics, place a number 1 to 5 next to each, as guided by your GPS. This identifies which topic to address first.

Examples:
* Intimate life partner – 3
* Friends – 5
* Wealth – 2
* Health – 1
* Life skills – 4
Etc

In this example, your present, top priority goal is your health.

Hold your present top priority goal in mind

  • Before you choose and play a game and at every step throughout the game.
  • Before you choose and read an inspiration

Often, as you get the answer to one topic/goal, several other topics may also be clarified, as all areas of your life are interactive and influence each other. You will definitely get around to addressing all of them, as you play the games and read the inspirations.


STEP 4

State your goal in an optimal manner to achieve your optimal outcome.

1. Focus on the positive, by choosing

What you want to be, have and/or do = a towards goal.

Not what you don’t want = get away goal.

2. State your goal as if it’s already a done deal, using the words I am

Examples:
* I am free of pain and suffering
* I am happily married
* I am fit and slim
* I am successful
* I am a money magnet

Not, I want… to be healthy; a relationship; success, to lose weight; to get fit; to be rich etc

3. Be specific

  • Identify and aim for your bull’s eye, not just a general target
  • Make it a stretch, yet achievable and believable for you
  • Make it exciting for you

Examples:

* I am easily running 5 km on the beach, laughing as I go, without breaking a sweat
* We’ve just celebrated our 10th anniversary scuba diving in Mauritius
* I am now indoor rock climbing in my size 10 slim fit jeans
* I have landed a huge account with…and they’re paying me $100,000 for each monthly project
* I am super organised and achieve 50% more in 50% less time, so I have heaps of time to play


STEP 5

Identify the best question

The answers you get are only as good as the questions you ask.

  • Once you have identified your top priority topic/goal, write a list of potential questions for that topic/goal. 
  • Once again, number the questions using your GPS, in order of their priority. As health is identified as your top priority goal in step 5, examples of potential questions may be:

    *How do I achieve my best health? – 3
    * How do I sustain my best health? – 2
    * How do I transform the way I view my health? – 1
    * What does achieving my best health allow me to do, that I couldn’t do before? – 4
    * How does achieving my best health change my life? – 5; etc

    As with your goal, all questions will be answered. For now, it’s best to identify and focus only on your top priority question, with respect to that top priority topic/goal. Often, as you get the answer to one question, several other questions may also be answered or no longer be relevant.

STEP 6

Take the most powerful goal and life affirming action

As your questions are answered, you may be guided to take a positive, life affirming action, in order to manifest your goal.

Once again, write a list of suggested actions and their priority

Examples:
* Meditate daily – 3
* Consult a health and wellbeing expert – 5
* Take time to visualise myself being fit, healthy and happy – 4
* Drink 3 litres of water a day – 1
* Walk briskly for 30 minutes a day – 2; etc.

Only choose the no 1 action!


STEP 7

Belief in yourself.

That above all else will enhance, advance and power up the achievement of your goal and best life.

  • All you need to do is set your intention to do so.
  • Then breathe into that intention daily.

Electricity, flows naturally into your house, but unless you flick the ‘on switch’ to the toaster, the electricity is undirected and doesn’t know what to power up.

Your breath flows naturally into your body. But, unless you add intention, it doesn’t know what to power up. Intention is your body’s ‘on switch’.

Interesting facts about the importance of self belief.

  • Disney went to 400 banks before one agreed to a loan.
  • Edison undertook 7000 experiments before he perfected the light bulb.
  • “Harry Potter”, was rejected by 12 publishers before 1 said yes.

STEP 8

Consistency and commitment are key!

  • When you go to the gym, you don’t expect to build huge muscles, strength and fitness in one session. You know you need to go regularly, over time, to achieve this.
  • As a baby, at some point, consciously or otherwise, you decided you wanted to stand, walk, run. Imagine if every time you fell down, you decided to just give up.
  • If you can walk and talk you’ve got the commitment, determination and skills within you to be anything, do anything, have anything.
  • You don’t need to do it alone Find a support team.
  • Irrespective of what is or is not happening, keep going until you succeed!

STEP 9

Raise your awareness and trust.

Whenever you take a guided action, start noticing the happy coincidences, synchronicities and serendipities that start showing up, in every greater numbers and frequency.

This proof alone will raise your trust. And the more you trust, the more calculated risks you’ll be willing to take and the greater the opportunities you’ll create to enhance, advance and achieve your goals and best life .

On the principle:

  • If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.
  • If you want a different result, you’ll need to be prepared to step out of your comfort zone.

Trust will do that for you!


If you’re still not sure what to choose – the topic, question, action, game…use the super easy eyes close and open trick.

Super Easy Eye Trick

  1. With your present, top priority goal in mind, set your intention that your eyes are the window to your GPS.
  2. When you look at each list, the topics/goals, questions, actions…close and open your eyes and they will ‘lock/land’ on the top priority.
  3. Example: If you are guided to find more than 1 action, idea, possibility…, each time your eyes lock on an answer, continue to close and open your eyes to get the next lock and the next. Your eyes will lock on the answers, in their priority position. Keep doing this until your eyes no longer lock, just scan. That means you’ve identified all the answers.
  4. The same ‘trick’ applies when you’re choosing the ‘best’ game to play and/or inspiration to read, to move you most effectively and powerfully towards landing your goal.

Each time you play a game and/or read an inspiration:-

  • You may notice that the answers change, because you’ve changed.
  • You’ll actively strengthen your intuition
  • You’ll gain new and valuable insights, that advance you achieving your goals and thriving
